After a 2 1/2 year disagreement with the local zoning board I finally got the permit to build my tall 24'X24' detached garage!!! The contractor dug the footings yesterday and should be able to pour the 1st cement later this week! 🎇🎆
With the Liquid Cooled engines, smooth cowling and the exhaust pipes exiting the top side of the leading edge of the wing, I think it is a Arkhangelsky Ar-2 dive bomber.

I was going to bring up the CF-100 and the Straight wing versions of the F-84 should also be considered IMO. Also the Dassault Ouragan should be on the list. Unlike the CF-100 (of which I am a fan of) both the F-84 and the Ouragan saw combat.
That picture gives me shivers! I can't imagine working on those parts or the surrounding areas, I am imagining all the cuts and nicks my hands would have from sharp safety wire ends. :nailbiting:
