The next GB is creeping up on us!

GB 28-Night War of WWII, Allied or Axis.
Anything related to night operations such as bombers, night fighter, pathfinders, espionage operations and intruders.
Nov 1st- Sunday Mar 6th 2016

I'm curious to see what ya'll have up your sleeves for this one as I am looking for some ideas/inspiration.

All right John!!!! Get this sucker started early. Went through my stash and I have nothing. While trolling the interwebs, I found a subject that I have a kit for and suits my oddball schemes fetish to a T, an all black Spitfire Mk.Vb night fighter from 111sqn. The night fighter Spitfire was pretty useless at the task and only served in 3 squadrons for a short while. The Airfix kit contains parts for a Mk.Vb, Vc and I believe Seafires I, II and III.

I haven't even started in in this group build yet!
I have quite a few possibilities in the stash. Just about any of the British bombers, a Defiant, an Me 262 and a P-70 which I think is the most likely one I'll do.

Well, I've got a lot of stuff that'll be interesting to paint over the winter, such as the 1/32 Tamiya Mosquito and the 1/32 Revell He 219. I'd love to get one of those in. I've also got a 1/48 Meng Me 410, which would be much easier to manage. I guess I can hope it's warm enough in March to spray some exterior.

If I can get me out of this modellers block and get on with the 109, I probably chip in and follow Jan with a He 219A-7/UHU Night Owl most probably from 3./NJG 3. I've also got a Fw 190A-8/R-11 Nachtjäger and could put this one up as a Günter Migge machine.

Great ideas guys! An all-black Spitfire would be really cool and a challenge to make that all-black scheme interesting. Definitely think the Uhu is another cool bird and hopefully we'll get at least one in the GB. My backlog is geared more for the next GB (Hase 1/48 109K-4, ZM 1/48 Ta-152H, Hase 1/32 190D-9) so I'd have to find something appropriate. Am currently considering a Me110G or maybe the Japanese counterpart?

Obviously we've got a '13' for her....

"White UI-13" from the 251st Kokutai. "Humpback" version with both upper and lower cannon, and collector exhausts. Dark green over light gray with white-bordered hinomarus on the fuselage and upper wings.

The first J1N1-S is the only one on the sheet in dark green over gray (the rest all being overall dark green). Coded U1-13 in white on the tail, this plane also has white-edged hinomarus for the fuselage upper wing. Flown by CPO Shigetoshi Kudo and Lt. Akira Sugawara of Kokutai 251 out of Rabaul-Lakunai, July 1943, this plane had a total of nine kills and one probable.

Well, I have thought the paul defiant ,

I want to point you in heavy night fighters but given the British heavy bombers Halifax or Lancaster, or even the moskito NF, bombers Italian Piaggio pi108

Mmm...I got Plenty for this one....but which one...

1/32 Tamiya Mossie
1/32 Revell He219
1/48 Hobby Boss P-61
1/48 Eduard Fw190A-7/R11
1/48 Eduard Bf110G
1/48 Tamiya J1N1 Gekko 3 Versions!

I'll probably throw in something a little different. 1st in line will be a Ju88G-6. If time permits, there's also a Do217E-4.

I like it! Aesthetically, I like the Ju-88G a little better than the Me110.
