Phew!! Thanks for the verify. Removing the small stubs is easy-peasy. The pads not so much.

Wow, never anticipated spending (enjoying) this much time in a cockpit build! Some progress and lots to go, On details!! The instructions indicate that these 4 areas are to be removed for all; A - B and C. However when I look at the follow on illustrations I seem to be seeing them? Are just...

    MY WORLD

Interesting job!! Looked mine operation up on net and read some of the performance data. Solid operation; CU AND gold. I guess you don't get to keep that random bit of gold that sticks in the tire treads though?? You really are in the nether lands, unless it is a really long bus trip to work!!

Ok!, I have to wonder on the sanity of this design! (Thanks for the heads up Andy) Done to increase the parts count? Done to challenge and or eliminate those that are not adapt at handling rice sized pieces? It sure appears, at this scale anyway, that these details for the exhaust could have...

    GB-62 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I - Spitfires

This is kind of what I was reading in the various posts that I found; the DEB was an early transition from the B/W scheme, but soon gotten under control later in the 40's to fix to the Sky S color. Tamiya does have a call out for their XF-21 on their color sheet and when compared to the DEG...

    GB-62 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I - Spitfires

Interesting. It is a bit browner! Since I don't need anymore kits I will hold off on ordering this or the Mr.H equivalent. I'll try a drop of white in the 323 and see if it brings it to this closer shade? Vallejo colors play nice together so mixing is not an issue.

    GB-62 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I - Spitfires

Let's get this over with. Colors. I am not going to do the Tamiya mixing, sticking with my preferred Vallejo. Browsing the forums, this one included, I believe I have come up with a Vallejo consensus? Interior and exposed: Vallejo 71.126 Camo: Vallejo 71.323 Dark Earth Vallejo 71.324...

Well then. Here's hoping we don't confuse the judges. Actually I believe there will be a few more of this kit entered as well?

    Upcoming....GB 62 - Spitfires

I pulled up your 2020 build/review of the kit. Wow! So much to watch out for!! Like you have indicated, I too have drilled and sliced post assembly AFTER looking back in the instructions to see what I had missed. Thanks for the pot-hole guide.

    Upcoming....GB 62 - Spitfires

My stash of Spits flow-ith over. I have to make a decision or two. Like many, I will probably do two. My decision stack! Leaning toward doing the MK.I as the first. Toss up on the choosing from markings available in kit; BoB, pre-war or op Dynamo? Most likely the same 'trees' that Karl is...
