I'm looking if anyone on here happens to have anything about these two, because actual primary data, and reports and such are very difficult to come across, (I'm planning on visiting DC in a few years, but thought maybe some of you have something)

Ah yep, I remember it, you can still find it on the way back machine. Actually emailed the guy that ran it last week to answer a question about the J22.
This site, which sites several Italian books, (so I can't verify) claims that the designer worked in America for several different companies in the last 30's, so even if it isn't a copy, its definitely not a coincidence. Reggiane Re.2000 Falco Italian Fighter

I’m going to look into it today and get back to you guys, but also I don’t know if you guys should think the italians would do the best and brightest in regards to aeronautics. Example: The Ca313.
The Swedes used them pretty well as air space defense fighters during the war. Theres some neat photos of Swedish J20s escorting American Heavy Bombers.
