Hi guys!
My next build will be this fine Japanese fighter and I'm going to show wips of the construction throughout the process. Here is the photo of the plane I'm going to represent.

According to my references the paint scheme goes as follows:

-cockpit color=aotake
-interior fuselage color=aotake
-gun bay/engine cowling/wheel wells/flaps interior=nmf

I would like to be informed if I am correct before I get on with that,

Cheers to all,:D

Panagiotis.

If you are in need of any detail shots other than is posted, PM me your email. I've found several profiles that show a yellow arrow and one with a white arrow. I know that different squadrons used different colors. Looking for clearer photos of the two I posted, this might help.

Nice choice again, Panagiotis.

Mechanic of World Aircraft(reprint of Maru Mechanic) says
Instrument panel and switch boxes in matt black,
Interior of cockpit, wheel bay and cover in aotake

Other interior parts were not painted.
Basically, the army favored no paints to save time and costs.
Early type of Ki-84 had no paint even on the outer skin except the cowling top.

Thank you all for your support and comments!:D
Shinpachi-san, thanks a lot!
Fubar 57,thank you for the photos! I intend to show the installation of all the guns on my model, panels will be opened both on the wings and in front of the cockpit, so any photos in the areas are more than welcome! Well, I didn't know there were two colors, so I will opt for the yellow arrow then!

Ma ta ne guys!:D

OK. White then.8) I wonder if this aeroplane took a kamikaze role. Guess this is terribly difficult to find out..

The 101st sentai was not kamikaze. Basically the Ki-84 was not kamikaze.
Together with 102nd and 103rd sentai, totally approx 120 Ki-84s escorted kamikaze and engaged in attacking the allies in Okinawa.
Night attack on April 15 1945 is famous in my country.

You are welcome, Panagiotis.
Please let me take off my hat to your excellent craftsmanship.

Thank you Shinpachi-san! Hmmm, it'd help me a lot to know what exactly are the things I've yellow marked..

And the first wip includes the tedious yet necessary riveting of the model and a scratched seat which I find as the only flaw in Hasegawa's excellent cockpit.
