Avro Anson

In the 1930s A.V. Roe Company (Britain) built the Avro Anson as a reconnaissance airplane for the RAF. The aircraft began its military service in 1936, becoming the RAF's first monoplane. By 1939 it was already becoming obsolete. HMS Revenge was built by Vickers and launched on the 29th of May 1915, joining the 1st battle Squadron of the Grand Fleet in March 1916.She was present at the Battle of Jutland firing both her 3 inch AA Guns and her main 15 inch Armament at a Zeppelin during the late stages of the battle. After the first world war she was sent to The Mediterranean in 1920. She served in the Home fleet and Atlantic escorting 1939-1940. She was scrapped at Inverkeithing 5th September 1948.
