A Japanese phosphorus bomb burst over a 7th AAF B-24 Liberator bomber which has just unloaded its bombs on the island of Iwo Jima, only 650 miles from Tokyo, The phosphorus bomb was dropped by Zeke fighters just before they began a series of unsuccessful passes at the 7th AAF Liberator.
