The Bücker Bü 180 Student, was built in small numbers for civil use.
The prototype was flown in the autumn of 1937, and was offered to the Luftwaffe as a potential primary trainer but was rejected. An improved version, the Bü 181 Bestmann, became the Luftwaffe's primary trainer and utility aircraft.
