Churchill
Note the 3.7 inch (95 mm) Low velocity Howitzer on this Churchill II (Infantry Tank Mk. IV). The official Table of Establishment (TOE) required each Tank Squadron to have two of these Howitzer armed Tanks in its Squadron Headquarters,, where possible, for indirect fire support (The 2-Pdr that provided the main fighting element of the Squadrons having no High Explosive capacity).

The Churchill II began to reach the Armoured Regiments of the Army Tank Brigades in the Summer of 1941 and were employed exclusively on Home Defence.
