Intended for service on the Carrier Graf Zeppelin (launched on 8 December 19388) a batch of twelve Fi-167A-0 followed the two prototypes (Fi-167V-1 and V-2). These were ultimately employed on various test duties with Erprobungsstaffel 167 in the Netherlands from the summer of 1940. Nine machines were subsequently sold to Romania
