Shown here is Typhoon Mk.IB (JP682) high over the west Country on 24th August, 1943. This fighter later served with Nos. 56, 197 and 183 Sqds. It went missing in action on 24th February, 1945 with Flt Lt Borham at the controls. Note that the censor has masked out the serial number. Taken from The Royal Air Force of World War two in Colour.
