Shown here is Sea Vampire F.Mk.21 (VT803) picks up the single arrester wire during trials of the flexible deck concept carried out aboard HMS Warrior early in 1949. This and the other Sea Vampire F.Mk.21 (VG 701) were attached to No. 764 Sqd. FAA, based at RNAS Ford, Sussex for a short period.
