Cutaway Dewoitine D.338 D.333 was a development of retractable landing gear. First flew in 1936 showed a slight increase in size, and the fuselage was lengthened 3.18 m (10 ft 5 ¼ inches). For short journeys, the aircraft could carry 22 passengers, the aircraft used in the Far East were equipped with 12 luxury seats. The D.338 had a reputation for reliability and was used during World War II in the French colonies overseas.
