Shownhere is TBD-1 Devastator (BuAer.0339) of VT-3 at North Island NAS, San Diego, California 22nd August, 1940. The plane is painted in McClelland Barclay No.8 Experimental camouflage. This aircraft was lost at the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942, while serving with VT-2 aboard the USS Lexington (CV-2).
