Shown here is a trio of swordfish Mk.11 aircraft in Normandy invasion markings. As with other wartime biplanes. the upper surface roundel is borne at the tips of the wings., but unlike other biplanes of 1944, it woud be found that they do not bear roundels under the lower wings, for they are operational aircraft.
