Shown here are early Fw 190A-1s undergoing final assembly at Bremen in 1941. Particularly evident is the exceptionally wide-track main landing gear and the large number of hinged panels providing access to the compact BMW 801 radial engine. Just visible are the pair of nose-mounted MG 17 machine-guns.
