HMS Essington

Shown here is HMS Essington (ex-DE-67), in January 1944, displaying many of the standard British modifications. Of special note is the RN whaler, the added depth charge stowage and the USN pattern life-rafts. This ship has been repainted light grey and the outline of the earlier Western Approaches camouflage scheme shows through in parts. Funnel mark is believed to be four red squares (MoD).
