Shown here is the the pocket battleship Admiral Scheer photographed on 30 April 1942 on a south-westerly course in Trondheim fjord. She had carried out a war cruise in the Atlantic in the latter part of 1940. Her end came on the night of 9/10 April 1945 during a raid on Kiel by RAF Bomber Command, when she was hit and collapsed in an inner dockyard basin.
