Shown here is the mine ship KMS Kuckuck whilst under attack from a rocket-firing Beaufighter, at Fiume, Italy, on 5th November, 1944. At this time she was armed with 2-7.62 cm (3 in) AA and 4-2 cm (0.79 in AA guns. Her planned armament was to be as follows: 3-10.5 cm/45 (4.1 in) QF guns, 6-3.7 cm/83 (1.45 in) guns, 4-3.7 cm (1.45 in) AA guns, 18-2 cm (0.79 in) AA guns, 8-8.6cm (3.3 in) R.Ag.
