Lockheed RC-121C Warning Star

Shown here is the first U.S. Air Force Lockheed RC-121C Warning Star (s/n 51-3836, c/n 1049B-4112) in flight in 1955. Originally ordered by the U.S. Navy as a WV-2B, it was instead delivered directly to the USAF as an RC-121C. All ten RC-121Cs were redesignated EC-121C in 1962. Later this aircraft was converted into an TC-121C training arcraft, before being retired to the MASDC in 1968 and later it was broken up. U.S. Air Force photo
