Shown here is one of very few pics of a pre-series A6M2 Navy Type O Reisen (Zero Fighter) Model 11 and operated by the 12th Rengo Kokutai (12th Combined Naval Air Corps) for combat trials over China. The main difference between the Model 11 and the Model 22 was that the former had standard wingtips and the latter had manually folding for wingtips for carrier stowage.
