Depicted here is the Supermarine S.6B (S1595) flown in the Schneider Trophy Contest on 13 September 1931 by Fl. Lt. J.N. Boothman of the RAF'S High Speed Flight at an average speed of 340 mph, winning for Great Britain the third successive victory in five years and securing the Trophy outright.
