This is 1 of 2 photos I know of that show the Ki-43-IIIb. It was a project to take the fight to the US strategic bomber fleet that was cut short by the end of the war. Depending on source, it had either a new Sakae or a Kinsei engine. Armament is 2 20mm cannons.
