    Dallas Airshow Tragedy

Oh my... I had attended two years in a row, back in 2019 and last year and I even considered a ride on Texas Raiders. What a tragedy has unfolded today... Invaluable lives and invaluable aircraft have been lost 😢 My heart goes out to those who witnessed this tragedy and the ones directly...

P-51B Mustang - The Bastard Stepchild that Saved the 8th AF has been sent by Osprey Publications for Print.

Having enriched my knowledge substantially on the 355th FG operational history and 8th AF operations in general through Bill's excellent previous works, I am definitely looking forward to add Bill's latest effort into my book collection. Congratulations Bill.

Collins Foundation B-17 crashed at Bradley

I had to hold tears today at work as I was seeing the initial pictures of the crash showing 909 practically consumed by the fire but learning about fatalities between crew and passengers, aviation enthusiasts like all of us, is truly disheartening. From 2010 until the present year I was a...

    The Last Cactus Pilot

Amazing story. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that very soon these men will move on and there won't be more "Thank you for military service, Sir" from my part. Lest we forget.

    BOB film

That was really stretching the imagination, I will definately give you that  Although overall, and leaving that last part aside, the movie was exceptionally well planned out and executed. A refreshing entry intry into a pretty much degenerating genre (Nazi zombies movie?)

    BOB film

I think a new Battle of Britain movie is long overdue. I thought something would turn up in 2010 to commemorate the 70th anniversary but that wasn't the case. Some production "a la" Dunkirk would be exceptional. One can only wish.

What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?

I was supposed to watch "They Shall Not Grow Old" on Monday, the first of only two showing days in the US only to be told by the teather people that the film would not play due to "technical difficulties with the server". Needless the say the 7 or so people I was with got really upset...

It's being speculated that the second occupant could have been a B-17 pilot... :( :pilotsalute:

    Bill Runnels passed away

There’s not much else to add about Bill Runnel’s stature and transcendence in his life and beyond it. A Hero who, among one of the greatest generations the world has ever known, embarked on a perilous journey more than seventy years ago to safeguard those defenseless in the face of a murderous...

Comparative Study of B-17 vs B-24

Vivid account Bill, thanks for sharing it with us. On such encounter, did you get to see the P-51s pound on the German fighters or did they got away? Cheers
