Please be aware that aircraft radio installations both in the 8th Air Force and other units, were dependent upon the time frame. A typical B-17 radio installation in 1942 was not necessarily typical in 1945. It was also dependent upon the theater in which one was operating.

AN-74 is an earlier version of AN-104 (same antenna, different mount), which was used with the SCR-522 VHF 100-155 MHz Command Radio.

I believe the gentleman is asking about the "blade" antenna, not the ADF "football."
The "blade" is the standard AN-104 antenna for SCR-522 VHF Command Radio, 100-155 MHz. The angle of the blade on the trailing edge is the "tell."
Note that this could also be an earlier version, AN-74. Same...
