    Westland Whirlwind revisited

    Eric Brown did test the Whirlwind. In one of his books he stated that if were fitted with Merlins the C of G would be about three feet out in front of the nose.

    Eric Brown once said of the whirlwind in one of his books, If it were fitted with Merlins, the Centre of Gravity would be about three feet in front of the aeroplanes nose.
