In the navy, we use methalene choloride to fuse plex together. It literally welds the pieces together. Make sure you have a straight edge with no gaps

I have tried alcad on 2 projects, a me109 which did not turn out like I would have liked and a torpedo on a Japanese torpedo plane which turned out excellent. I found that applying the alcad thinly was the trick, along with a perfect surface.
