  • Hello Blixie, you mentioned some details in regard of the JU-87 siren (size of the vents) in one of the threads some ys ago....
Do you happen to have the height of the JU-87 siren propeller or other measurements?
Siren of Junkers Ju 87B-1 from 2./StG77 shot down near Grandes Armoises (Ardennes) during the Battle of Sedan on May 14, 1940. Pilot Uffz Robert Munk and Uffz Karl Wagner.

Round plate diameter: 110. Prop center diameter:120. Prop thickness: 80.
Prop width: 300 (not 100% shure but not less and not more than 330.
    Length of vanes: 85.
    Width of vanes: 20.
Depth of vanes: 8. All in mm.
The rounded ends of the vanes of this Musterexemplar doesn't fit in with those on the produced props which were sharp and I don't believe only 8 mm deep vanes could generate so much noise.

I haven`t seen your response before - no notification - it`s quite weird. I also made photo`s of the counterpart - and I got some technical research paper from Berlin Adlershof.
I`ll intend to put it into an Android app. I`m not 100% sure if that "prop" is authentic, there have been two different versions of the propeller. You can contact me if you got any more questions.
