    My dad was part of the Squadron, and yes, it was a real upgrade. He was also the first Allied pilot to land in France on D-Day!!! Pretty good for a Cajun..........

    The U.S. Navy pilots flew the Spitfires in VCS-7 before, during and after the Normandy Invasion. My dad was a member of that Squadron.
