    Eagle Radar

Does anyone have any information on the Eagle Radar used on B17 and B-24's. I believe it is APQ-3 or 7. We have an a B-17 in the hangar that had the modification but nothing is left as it was sectioned for use by the movie studio. The only surviving sign of the mod is the heavy longerons under...

I'm restoring a B-17 recovered from Dyke lake in Labrador and am also in need of seats and stands for the cockpit. The originals must have been removed at the time of the crash.

    SE US fly-in musuems

Douglas GA by Valdosta has a small museum about the CPT squadron that was there. There also might be a B-25 and C-47 on the ramp and P-40 in the hangar.

    Pacific Aviation Museum

I was there 2 years ago. A couple I worked with moved to Hawai to work at the museum, one designed alot of the displays and worked in the restoration shop. On Dec 7 we went to a ceremony they had at Ewa airfield. All that was left was an overgrown runway and hangar foundation.

    Pristine F4U Vought Corsair

In WW2 they had Primary, Basic and Advanced flight training using the Texan for advanced. Post war the Navy and Air Force used the Texan as their primary trainer, later being replaced with T-28 and T-34 (both tricycle gear). Around 1960-61 the Air Force went to all jet trainers (T-37 and T-38).

    Pristine F4U Vought Corsair

For the Texans, insurance companies want a certain number of tailwheel hours and then a certain number dual in the Texan.

    Pristine F4U Vought Corsair

At one time we had 3 in the shop. Well more of one fairly complete, one crash and burn fuselage section and a cockpit/tail section.

    Pearl Harbor Attack

Although they did have a point. The cinematography was great....it was the script and acting that sucked!

    B-29 Wrecks

They pulled another from China Lake after Fifi. I beleive it is in Wichita being restored by Boeing retiree's. The nose art was "Doc" of the seven dwarves.

Good books on the A-20 or B-25 ?

The book "Flying Buccaneers" has alot of B-25 and A-20 info. It's about the air war in the Pacific. It's an older book and is probably out of print but a great read if you can find it.
