Fighting MiG Fighters In Vietnam. Vietnam Ace And TOPGUN Instructor Duke Cunningham

While his actions while in Congress were detestable, that shouldn't take away from his abilities and accomplishments as a fighter pilot.

    nav light colours

The lenses (or in this case bulbs) look blue with the light off. However, with the ligtbulbs having a yellow (warm) cast, when turned on they look green. Remember the old Zip-Loc bag commercial "yellow and blue make green?"

Fourth Kiwi Mosquito test flew today

I remember reading recently (in another post?) that this scheme was the one the new owner was interested in. I can't remember the details.

    Douglas Skyraider....

When I was going through AW "A" school back in the winter of 1975 during the EW phase of training we got a number of slide-tape presentations (remember those?) with audio of Radio and RADAR audio. It always amazed me how calm and professional these guys always sounded despite having AAA and SAM...

    Douglas Skyraider....

Good luck with those ESCI decals. I never had any luck with them from any of their kits (or the 1/72 aftermarket sheets I picked up over the years).

    CAC Boomerang 3-view drawings

When I click on the link I get a warning from my anti-virus software. Just a heads up to be cautious.

    Do335 A6 SN-2 Radar configuration

The setup used on the Fw 190 and the drawings makes sense to me. One set of antennae gives you bearing/range and the other gives you height above or below you and range.

Request identification and help with markings on WWII aircraft

This is one I'd love to see a set to convert from the Accurate Miniatures (and its clones) 1/48 kit. The closest thing I've been able to find is the Belchers Bits conversion: http://www.belcherbits.com/lines/148conv/bb4.htm Actually, I should probably just get this set and be happy with it, it...

    1/48 Tamiya Brewster F2A-2 Buffalo

One of my favorite kits, IMO it was well ahead of its time. I've built two of them over the years and really enjoyed both. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.

    Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk

If it's anything like his Grumman Goose, the Signifer 1/48 scale SeaHawk is a really nice kit. http://signifer.chez-alice.fr/o_uk.htm Once you get to the destination provided by the link, select CATALOGUE on the left of the screen. Then you can select a slideshow of the SeaHawk kit as well as...

Koster 1/48th scale B-24 turret kit.

In a lot of ways his resin parts remind me of resin sets from the 90s.

    Pictures from NKP

Wow! Those are beautiful! I'd love to see the whole collection. How much history has been lost due to incidents like this. And being it was a local airport, I wonder if they'd been donated for a museum or for display and someone going through some files just decided to trash them. Inexcusable to me.

Bofors 40mm and Ma Deuce Quad....

I've got to say, I've seen the M16 (also built the Tamiya kit many years ago), but I haven't seen the other two with the 40mm mounted. That 40mm almost looks too big for the vehicle.

His books make for really good reads, too.
