    Ju 87G winter camouflage

Thanks for all the good info. No, I hadn't tried the Google ST mentioned. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the pics; you can never have too much money, you can never have too much love, you can never have too many good reference shots. Does anyone have unit IDs for Ostfront Stuka tankbusters...

    Ju 87G winter camouflage

Folks, I know that this has been touched on previously and I apologize if this thread seems a bit of a spam. I'm wanting to build my Has tankbuster dressed in winter camouflage, but I can't find the right kinds of cites for the scheme(s) I'm considering. Pics of whatever you lot might...

    Making your own decals

Thought I'd start a thread here, that we might all best-share our decal-manufacturing techniques, tips, hints, advisories, etc. Eighth

    Tamiya 1/32nd scale Spitfire MkIX

Cheers, thanks for that. Do you have links to the reviews/builds? Eighth

    Tamiya 1/32nd scale Spitfire MkIX

All of which begs the question, regarding how it stacks up to the PCM boxing(s). I have yet to glue parts, and some of the directions are a bit confusing, but then again the PCM kit was mine for about USD 65, or right around half the price of the Tamiya effort. For the money I've saved, I...

    Shinedown

You haven't lived until you've heard them cover 'Simple Man'. I rarely buy an album on the strength of one track, that Shinedown CD was an exception. Eighth

    Clip tip Spit

Do either of you (or anyone else for that matter) have a swatch for sky? The codes are supposed to be that color, but they look a lot darker than what I think of when I think of sky. I don't mind redoing them, I have a printer and can make my own decals, but I'd like to have the right shade...

    Clip tip Spit

Nor I, but it never hurts to ask. As for the clipped tips, Wiki at least suggests that JE-J wore them. Other sources suggest that they are relatively easy to swap out, and I thought therefore that I couldn't be very off the mark if I did one as such. Vice any substantial evidence to the...

    Clip tip Spit

Going with Johnnie Johnson's bird, which is apparently documented as flying 'LF'- 'Low Flying', shorthand for the clip-tip version. What's the rhyme/reason for the pointy tail, BTW? Cheers, Terry. Do you have something about the cannon-bulges? I think I have that one sorted, but 'you can't...

    Clip tip Spit

Got the kit today. Some flash, some rough spots, nothing particularly fret-worthy. Nice PE fret, very nice resin exhausts (both fish-tail and round), cockpit details, etc, all done in resin. <3 Is it wrong to love a kit? Then I don't want to be right. Eighth

    BARE METAL MADE EASY!

'Oh boy, another excuse to buy a model'. And this time I have to see how it scales. May take a while. Moving, work, life, etc; but curiosity will not let me rest until I've done the deed. Damned curiosity. Why couldn't I just be an alcoholic? Eighth

P-51D gun bay door detail please

As I recall, the Squadron walk around for the 'Stang has some shots. http://midwestaero.com/articles/daddysgirl.pdf Has a good shot of an open gun bay. It's a .pdf, you have to scroll a bit but the shot is more than worth it. Eighth

    BARE METAL MADE EASY!

I tried using it on a couple of different media, resin and plastic. They both seemed to accept the paint with the brass powder nicely. I think the next exercise will be to brush-paint it as a natural-metal finish. Oh boy, another excuse to buy a model? Like I need one. Eighth
