Hi dragondog
A document of 1.17 1945 showed that 4 DB605DC were delivered to LuffWaffe but didn't work well and none of the front line fighters equipped with this new DB605 variant. So, did BF109Ks with DB605DC ever go into field before the war was over.
I have some questions about P-51Ds in Europe. First, I know some of the P-51D units used 130 octane some used 150 octane. It depends on the fuel the unit received or the variant of P-51D.Second, when did allies start to use 150 octane for P-51Ds, before D-day or after. The last one, did RAF use...
P-51Ds in Europe used both 100/130 and 100/150,but depends on the fuel the units received or depends on the variant. And when did P-51Ds started to use 100/150 in service before 1944.6 or after D-day. And I am very curious about whether RAF used Mustang Mk.IV with +25lbs like Mustang Mk.III or not.
I posted that before Is
I posted that before I saw this: Kurfürst - Kurz-Betriebsanleitung für Flugzeugführer und Bodenpersonal für GM 1-Anlagen in Bf 109 G.
A friend who studying German told me it has difficulties with installation, must be activated above 8000m which is much higher than...
Thanks for your reply, may I share your calculations with my friends? They may be interested in this too.And another question about BF109. The use of GM-1 on BF109. As I know, some of the 109T used GM-1 in field to intercept B-17s.
Also there was a plan of BF109H but ended without production.I...
Thank you for the reply. It took me some time because I'm not native English speaker or major. So, basically,P-51 does have lower total drag due to the better design. But the famous Laminar Flow Wing just did part of the job, in fact, the wings of P-51 has higher total drag than 109's.But the...
Hi dragondog
Is there any data about BF-109G late and BF109K's drag or the the calculation. I've seen a statement that due to the less wetted area, 109G/K has lower total drag than P-51. I don't have any data about 109's drag. But I the sea level speed comparison shows me that's very...
