    Who wins the race

Do not know about the F-22, it seems to be all classified or not? The MiG-25/31 is also very fast (one of the fastest planes out there and can climb up to the atmosphere between space and earth). I also think the Sukhoi T-50 Pak-Fa will outperform the F-22 on many areas.

    SAAB JAS 39 E/F Gripen...?

Saw the Gripen fly in June and it looked very agile (quite noisy). The Gripen is the best buy (best budget) for the next gen (allround) European jet fighter, but think the Eurofighter/Rafale are a slight step ahead in air to air though. The Rafale is amazing too.

How would the Allies have dealt with large numbers of ME 262s?

Did the Soviets not made the best anti-air fire at some stage or was it artillery, I saw it on Discovery Channel firing multiple missiles short after each other, looked very modern for it's time. I believe this installation could also be forwarded by horses to make it mobile in slobbery...

First jet bomber with jet fighter escort?

:P The black Me-292 (nightfighter) looks very mean.

    Steering wheel of a ???

Brilliant story! They should make a movie or documentary about these dogfights above this area, it has everything: drama, war, history and even comedy if you look at the canopy story, what a great way to bring down a bogey. I also read today that around 25 planes crashed in...

Long range, high speed Spitfire fighter: the best approach?

My favorite WW2 plane! I have a model of it in 1:18. But I thought the Zero was the best overall WW2 fighter: faster diving/climbing? Heard that the Spit has still got many world records? Maybe a different question, but may feed your topic, I ones met a guy who is a Spitfire collector and owns...

First jet bomber with jet fighter escort?

Good point, artists can make it different as requested. So the Germans invented the 1st jet fighter as well as the 1st jet bomber @ the end of the war? What if they produced them 2 yrs. before the end of the war in big quantity. S: What was the average K-D ratio of the Komet?

    Steering wheel of a ???

The G1 looks very stunning (I think even better than the Black widow P-38), haha when I write P38+) it gets me a smiley, lol). So the T-V was not durable, I am learning a lot of WW2 aviation now, I am more into modern fighter jets, collecting promotional items and now have a WW2 item to make the...

    Steering wheel of a ???

That yoke is pretty sci-fi for it's time. O: Ok, I remember reading as a child in the Soesterberg museum that Fokker even built some planes for the Luftwaffe, of course under pressure. I also have a picture of one of the Fokkers when it was at display in the 90's. So they lost so many Yunkers...

    Steering wheel of a ???

After reading your post I think I will keep it for now at least (unless someone wants to pay lots). I am pretty sure it was used in the war, but not sure if it was in a invasion. Reading your post again and the line that it was the 1st airborne Paratroop invasion got me thinking it might be very...

    Steering wheel of a ???

My dad told me again that it was found in or near by Waddinxveen, he could not say which year though. I think I will ask the museum you mentioned. Interesting to read all the details you found, do you have a picture link of the Fokker yoke as I cannot find it. Did the Luftwaffe used the...
