Thanks for the comments guys, I'm still waiting for the 1/48th scale Citroen kit to arrive at my LHS I have started on the ground work though adding a couple of intact trees and some torn up ones. I will try to post more pictures next week of what I have done on the base.

I just finished my Revell Arado Ar 196A-3 floatplane in 1/32 scale I decided to try a water dio with it. I put a small pager motor in it to spin the prop the water is painted aluminum foil. The base is an up side down picture frame with the battery compartment under the water.
