In december 1943 some 20 odd fw 190's from jg2 or jg 26 attacked 1 or 2 airbases of 9 af, I think. I have never seen any reports of damage done.
Anyone have anything on this?
Who was the manufacturer of the exhaust turbo's on the 801 as/ at used on late model fw 190 A's?
Also who was the manufacturer of the turbo's tested on the fw 190 B and C?
Hi
One or two commenters say that the higher octance fuel with higher compression ratio would produce more power and faster climb rate but not greater horizontal speed. If someone could explain that I would appreciate it.
thanks
Attached are 20 pages from Ferdinand Brandner's autobiography covering the jumo 222. They are in german, I am a slow german reader and about 1/3 way through

relevant to this and other threads - NARA fms report D031 by Gen W von Axthelm written 1947 . Mentions higher kills with far less ammo using contact fuses (this report was probably referred to in the very good book on flak by e Westermann) by day and night and a raid in april 1945
