Thanks to all. I must say the standard of models I've seen here is pretty high. Inspirational stuff. Now If I can just finish this JU88.....

Any problems with building the Revel 1/32 JU88 I've got the fuselage together doing a bit of filling and sanding. The insert over the radio bank sits high and I'm concerned about the impact on the canopy.

To answer the last part regarding the black colour, the black does not appear on the wings. It stays on the side. The photos show some pretty heavy exhaust staining that may cause some confusion. It my understanding that the black finished at the wing root for the larger zigzag pattern. Hope...

Thanks Gents! I was really happy with my first adventure back into modelling. I've only build two more since, P47 just posted and a P39 in Aussie service. I finished that on 3 December 2011 and will probably post it tomorrow. I'm into the Revell 1/32 JU88 at the minute building up as an A2...

As the title says,,,:) This was a pleasure to build. It virtually fell together and it is a very big model! Much large than the FW190 in the same scale. Paint is all airbrush free hand like my FW190 in the other post. I am happy with it even though I know where the mistakes are:oops:

Nice job mate! Its a nice kit to smash together. I never really appreciated how big they were until I parked mine next to a 1/32 FW190A. Its a big model! I hope to see the real aircraft some day. Nice work.

The Smithsonian is a bucket list destination! I've had the pleasure of Duxford UK but haven't set foot in the US. Given the unusual value of the Aus Dollar I may remedy that shortly! really appreciate the help fellas. Cheers

There are a number of references for Arado and Gigant even, but nothing I can find for JU88. The JU88A was fitted with dive brakes and I was wondering if they interfered with mounting the RATO. Its possible that that RATO was mounted over the dive brakes (not used during take off) or outboard of...

Hello People. I'm building the 1/32 Revell JU88 and want to add the MDC Rato Packs to make the A2. I am having diffiuclty locating a reference showing the rato mounting point on the ju88. Can anyone assist? Cheers Gromit:D
