    WW2 Aviation Comics

Surely we need a WW2 Aircraft net comic hero of our own. RED ROBBO MCTAVISH Sept 1942 Convoy QX78 on its way to Narvik "Another 15,000 tons to the bottom of the sea. At this rate we'll have nothing to give the Reds." The ship went stern up and plummeted to the Artic floor. "Damn, Condors...

Peter Flint was the dashing secret agent posing as a useless toff, the regular recipient of white feathers, oui?

    WW2 Aviation Comics

Being a baby boomer I was able to catch the heyday of WW2 action comics and particularly enjoyed those that involve aviation derring-do. Commando: featured one character in a booklet length episode that typically involved the hero getting the white feather treatment and then proving himself by...

Agree but they wanted return of WW1 colonies which UK would never agree. Can you make a sweet spot for Germany where they win BoB and terms cause UK to drop out without testing RN?

    Ditching qualities of WW2 Aircraft

Inspired by Paddy Finucane's last words https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Finucane The spitfire apparently was a death trap when it went down over water. Was there an aircraft that took to water well? Though it must have been the last of the design requirements. Have a feeling that the...

Agree, but 8AF made the contribution of destroying the LW by providing the bait for escorts. Though RAF escorted by P51s late war too.

Could do Okinawa to Japan, but even 2 stage Merlins might not get you to a safe height and Fat Man couldn't be carried internally, but Little Boy could.

If the LW had gained Air Superiority in the UK, the invasion still would have not been possible because of the RN. But the defeat ended the myth of German invincibility. Simply put, Hitler could gain nothing from the BoB and should have stuck to anti shipping and spent more on U boats.

So The Germans Really Did Have Flying Saucers in WW2

Wouldn't those images be banned in public in Germany? I know there was a kerfuffle over Flying Saucers as it is illegal to describe the Nazis as having impossible tech...

Alcock and Brown erased from History by AI

Sir you are indeed correct. The NC-4 team deserves more recognition. It must have been much more fun than Alcock and Brown chipping the ice off the wing, stopping at some nice places.
