Those are Tomahawks for export not USAAC P40B...note the small round opening on the spine (Tomahawks had this odd clean blister bubble light there) no gunsite reflector on the glass(normal on P40) and not all ready painted (also normal for P40 onnthe assembly line)

On the P40 D-N the oil tank was in the space (juse behind the firewall) that held the fuslage ammo boxes on the P40B/C. On the P40B/C the oil tank was behind the rear fuslage fuel tank ================================================= P40D/E ================================================= P40B/C

Can I offer you one... the French decide to do a post war development on the Ta152c.... reengineer with Bristol Centaurs power egg from the Sea Fury ... Remove the extension plug at the tail added with the Fw190D to balance out the long nose of the inline.... and a Bristol Centaurs Ta152c...
