Hey, here's what do.
I don't thin Vallejo primer. I spray it right out of the bottle at about 2 bar pressure. Thats a bit above 25 psi depending on your compressor.
Model Air I thin 2 or 3 drops of their thinner per 5 drops of paint. I have absolutely no problems with splattering or grainy...
Hi Wayne, and everyone else! The markings are gonna be 701 sq. 343rd. NFG. Out of the box. Something I realized today while out on the prowl is the newer tamiya paint racks all have the federal standard number by the X number which helps. There is not alot of Gunze available in calgary anymore...
Thanks for the link. It's real sink your teeth into stuff! which is perfect for me because I love research too. Yeah man I mean't Shidenkai it's the late version. A 1/48 kit by Hasegawa. Best ten bucks i've spent in this hobby Wayne. Building the cockpit assembly was a joyous experience.
I...
Thanks and yes i've read that tutorial of yours about 50 times! I googled up some pretty crazy stuff. Lots of colour photographs and paint mixes. All very inspirational.
I live on this forum now.

Okay guys I know nothing of these colours but I think the aircraft are really cool looking. Which is why we do this right?? Yesterday I bought an H1K2-J in 1/48. Its the Hasegawa kit. The instruction sheet calls for 50/50 nakajima and mitsubishi for the cockpit. I gather these are Gunze paint...
I think you're right. Someone told me a long time ago that use the paint brands thinner in sort of a set to avoid any problems. I bought the model air thinner as well. I'm gonna try it on an old kit first.

Here's to insanity! Some of those newer Dragon armour models have a pile of photo etch and they don't need it. I would never put them on a gaming table either. I might go upstairs at chinook hobbies tomorrow and see how I can do for some 1/48 kits. Rick at Uncle Bills has some blow out stuff too...
Hey Mike, For certain there would be inconsistencies. Thats what makes it fun! I guess I have enjoyed the research part of the hobby as much as the modeling aspect. Now for the really big kicker. At 46 I'm told my eyes wont improve. I have been a modeller and wargamer of 1/72 figures and armour...
Wow it's amazing how the light (and the flash) alters the tone. Thanks for the input man. That 109 site had me reaching for one of my sons bibs because of the drool. The F is definately my favorite of the 109's.
But you're right, MM 02 is pretty spot on.
Thanks a ton, Roger from Calgary
It is for sure too light and doesn't have look like the photos from my walk around or other detail books. Its hard to describe. I once thought that there was 2 versions of the colour. I know that certain areas of the aircraft are
more likely to wear and weather than some...I guess there is not...
Hi guys, I searched the forum for a question similar to what i'm asking and haven't found the answer.
The MM enamel for RLM-02 doesn't look right. It could be me but is there a recipe? The RLM-66 and 76 look good. So I can start my 190.
Thanks in advance, -Roger
Okay, a quick question for Wurger and the other 190 guys. I have the vallejo air RLM 66. It looks right but perhaps a bit too light. No problem I'll do a filter over it. I am currently building the Revel FW 190 A-8/R-11. Would a late war A-8 just have an RLM 66 cockpit or would there be RLM 02...
Oh yeah, I spray with a badger 150 which is syphon feed and I'm told that Vallejo air works much better with a gravity feed airbrush??? Thoughts please.
