Managed to save the stars if you look close you can see the different colours but from a distance they blend in

Applied most of the decals when disaster struck. the Stars on the tail fin started to break up :( I removed the one I started to put on and decided to paint the tail. I had some Tamiya Royal Blue which was a close match. Also I tried some Testors stainless steel buffing paint for the tail...
