The test above against the Spit Mk IX was done with Faber's FW-190 A3 Not with the A5. The same aircraft was tested against MkV spit, P-38F, Mustang1 and i think a P-47C. The so called A5 was a G5 actually and that one was tested against the F-4U, Helcat and I think P-47D with water...

A-10 is a great aircraft but is too slow. It sure does ok with USAF because it has all the cover it needs and the enemies are usually much much weaker and can't disrupt it's activity. Against an enemy with similar strength i think the A-10 would be just like the Il-2 during WW2. Great...

I read an article somewhere few years ago about some war games between IAF and US Navy. The article said US navy fliers got spanked something like 80+ to 4. Don't remember exactly the numbers.
