I'm guessing I'll need reinscribing panels
Strips of evergreen styrene to accent some details lost by the sandpaper
I think it is a bit better. Lots of putty and almost a year's supply of sand paper.
My poor fingers!! and still a lot of sanding left!!
I dunno if it's fair to compare the Mig-21 with the Mig-19 or the Sabre, besides howcome the F-86 is an option an the MIg-15 (its counterpart) was omited, both built and first flawn in the late 40's. Actualy the F-4 Phantom did her maiden flight in 1958, making her technicaly a 1950's A/c...
My first model was a 1:48 f-18 "D'Skunk" I don't remember the manufacurer, I think it was revell or testors. It was my first by own (no dad's help) and was decaled without any paint. My first "real" model was testor's 1:72 black Camberra. This was for my birthday and christmas of 1986.
I have a small label on my collection shelf that reads (in spanish) "If you don't want to get fired or want to keep making bussiness with this company, don't touch!"
The tail section is done!
Progress until now... Now I'm concentrating in the cockpit.
Helping my dad with some airbrushing... this is his first plastic model, he's into ships. That's Revell-Germany's S-100 torpedo boat in 1:72
Both companies belong to the State (or the "people" in their point of view)... The chineese goverment injected a lot of funds to trumpeter and asked its directives to convert trumpeter the best plastic model company of the world, both in quality and subjects. From their last production models...
Looks like the right tail support is bended or shorter than the left one, the fuselage doesn't look warped. Anyway she would have been a b*tch to fly
She looks really good!! Nice paint job. Don't worry in time you'll learn to sort those deffects, more common than you may think.
FM it is... The model is very accurate and the texture and details are really good. Fine engravings and receced panel lines. The problem (like with any other short runner) is the production... (molding, plastic quality, etc...). The model is definately doable, and although it has been a lot...
