    XB-70. Bad Ass. Got to see it fly as a kid when my parents took me to the airshow at Edwards AFB. Been to the crash site and have some parts from it.

    Allison powered Mustangs were faster than Merlin powered Mustangs at lower altitudes, so it would make sense that a heavier armed version would have worked in the ground attack mode very well.
