Hi Jim I don't know if you are still following this thread but my Dad was also F6F pilot on the Wasp in 44 and 45. I probably have a picture of your family member in the VF 86 group photo. Let me know his name and I will let you know. Dad earned his Air Medal on the Wasp and received it from James Forrestal.
