I just ran across a photo of a 50 cal. sticking out of the wing of a Brazilian Super Tucano. That got me to thinking "how would a Super Tucano stack up against a WWII fighter'?
Looking at the shadow of the plane in the first pic in post #4, it does not show anything however, in the very first pic there is something between the left engine and the fuselage.
Received this years ago from ABEX (now DHL). It was in a packet of info when I applied for a position with them. Was taken during opening ceremonies of their Ohio location.
I have seen a video of the pass but it's been years.
Found another picture. Not the same aircraft. I believe this was taken at flight school back in 1943.
For modeling purposes what would be the colors? It looks like silver or yellow fuselage, but the cowling is certainly different, and not the same color as the glare shield.
Here are two pix of my father's L-4. I've tried to look up the tail number, but none of the sources seem to have this tail number as belonging to a Piper, or any aircraft I can find.
