was diving on this nearly complete Ju88 off Santa Caterina Southern Italy last year, look like the crew ditched and paddled ashore not far off land but in 36m and about 2.5km off shore

generally from what ive seen of the Dutch recoveries they are jsut hunting for bones to bury. A lot of the airframe gets scrapped. not that much is left of the stuff these days
congrats on the find, I look for ww2 aircraft wrecks where ever im on holidays, but usually in clean waters. youve got to deal with the cold, bad viz and Sharks. well done :)
im not a 100% but did the later P51Ds have a 0 to 100 Manifold pressure gauges ???

walking along Million dollar point in Santos, Vanuatu after a cyclone and picked up this , couldn't believe the condition for sitting on a beach for 70 years, just trying to figure out what type of US aircraft it went in , had it vapor blasted and sadly no production codes. any help ??
