Echo Dan's comments on the gun hatches.
Sand and prefit like you've never sanded before :)
Think I ended up with a mere wafer of plastic left before they sat even remotely in the hole.
Oh aye, growing an extra arm helps too.
Hi Dale,
hope it's not too late but having performed an octopus impression to get mine together (I'm not holding that up as a paragon of the modelling craft, by any means) looks to me like the cockpit tub needs to go back about 1mm. The sloped bits at the back of the cockpit should fit nicely...
Thanks Evan.
I think I've worked out what causes the undercarriage leg issues - when I did Dortenmann's D9 (210003) I got that about right, the main difference was I stuck the wheel covers on after the legs.
This time I stuck the covers on before fitting the legs and that restricts the...
Thanks Glen, and thanks to everyone for advice and observations.
Well - she was thrown together somewhat between work and other commitments but here she is:
Now - I plan to take a bit longer over Yellow 10 :)
Great work all round there.
Quick question - MK108 Kanone - with or without blast tubes?
As in - would the blast tubes be the only bit visible or would the actual cannon barrel be visible (this is for the outboard guns)?

I'd planned to do the Gruenherz box so somewhat neglected the Dora - this thread caught me with my pants down somewhat :D
Good work everyone
Thanks for the discussion on paint schemes - I've removed the metal and taken it back to a grey colour for now whilst I complete the weathering and panel lines.
I agree about the post title, should add a degree of organisation to proceedings :)
Mind you, if Red 4...
Cheers Wayne
Based entirely on the Eduard scheme I'm afraid - more than happy to revisit (I'd have preferred it not to be metal to be honest).
It's flanked by RLM82 and RLM83 though, so if it's a lighter shade than both any ideas what it could be? Or just infill with a lighter spray of the 82...
Plodding along - using this one to get back into the swing of things (so apologies for the seams etc )
Base coats on - awaiting weathering detailing
Cheers Dan - it's a JV44 D-11
1 and 2 are done - moving on to 3 now.... (after suitable masking)
Might even get that done this afternoon and then see where I end up
Rammstein for me
