    IL2 Forgotten Battles Screenshots...

I don't do it deliberately,it seems to be how I take aim(lead just ahead of the spinner). There's an awful amount of my kills that fall out of control and no one bales out, hence my assumption that I've killed the pilot. Miggs

    IL2 Forgotten Battles Screenshots...

Sorry, but you wouldn't be bailing out of the -38 if I'd have got you. I have a nasty habit of killing my target's pilot. Miggs

The art of shooting down aircraft...

My favorite steed is the 109G's(G-4 actually). All my guns converge at 200m and I use a mix of Erich Hartmann's(boom and zoom)and Gunther Rall's(under the blindspot) tactics. I'll usually go for No4 and catch him in a diving turn,go underneath and pull up onto No3's blindspot and carry on...

    Spitfire PR.XIX

    My Spitfire factory

If people are giving Airfix flak over their 1/72nd Spits(except for the old JE*J Mk.IX)then I'm afraid they don't know what they're talking about. Go to Britmodeller forums and ask the accuracy question about Airfix's 1/72nd Spits and see what they tell you there. Ask there too about the...

LUKLA, NEPAL - Take off Landing

Glad to help Robert. It's quite a surprising aeroplane isn't it8). We had a bash at on-line air racing last year over a specially done course at one of the Hawaiian islands. We had Unlimiteds and a stock race.A couple of us raced the 748 prototype....................... At Classic...

LUKLA, NEPAL - Take off Landing

Hello Robert. Rick's 780 is a bit big really for this strip, but knowing how the RAF pilots handled it in and out of short strips I thought it'd be worth a go. Our virtual airline,Venture Hawaii, use it on our Logair Cargo flights up in Alaska and it's really good. It handles dirt strips...

What's your air to air kill ratio?

Present campaign career on IL-2,rather than "overall career" on various combat sims. I should really factor in how many times I've been shot down(6)during this campaign, but at present I've "flown" 32 combat ops and shot down 59 e/a's. I exclusively use the 109 and nothing else. I came...

    Some Spits

For the answer look at the PR.XIX. It epitomises everything that Reginald Mitchell dreamed that the original Spit airframe would be: speed, power and drop-dead gorgeous looks. John Romaine summed it up very easily,he says that Merlin Spits are beautiful to fly,but the Griffon Spit is an...

    My Spitfire factory

Damned good bag that. Just two things though, strip both the Italeri and Academy kits for the parts,i.e,cockpit interiors, propellers and undercart. The Italeri is a poor effort, the Academy from the cockpit forward is all over the place plus the radiators are 'orrible. For a Vb you can't...

Revell 190 done for a commision

It does build very well and has a smashing cockpit, but if you want to open the hood(it and the windscreen are separate parts)you have to carefully trim the rear fairing away from the upper fuselage. Mark

    Revell Sea Hurri IIc

Hello Santiago!!:) How are you my friend?,did you manage to do that CAM Hurricane? I did the Sea Hurri's undersides in normal Sky(Humbrol 90 I think). That's what the call out was in the instructions. I believe the white was actually a "wash-off" type of paint,so whilst at sea the...

    Revell's lovely 1/72nd Jug

The scheme is done from the kit's instructions(can't remember the pilot's name or the unit for toffees). It is a UK based ETO Jug,IIRC. The yellow script reads "Shoot,You're Faded". The other a/c on the decal sheet is "Dotty Dee" Mark

Revell 190 done for a commision

Very well Vic. I drilled the leg and the bit left in the wing with a .5mm bit, superglued in a 4mm length 0.45mm brass wire and that sorted it. It was delivered back to it's owner with a mild rocket to be carefull around it:lol: Mark
