    The Tigers, while they looked spectacular on paper, were difficult to maintain IRL, and had several major technical flaws. My vote goes to the Char B1, in 1940 the Germans did not have a single tank capable of frontally penetrating it, and had to rely on larger antitank guns and air support.

    Me-262. While yes indeed, it was the first combat operational jet fighter, it had far too many technical flaws, and was too little too late to have any effect on the war.

    Huh, interesting read. Accounts of air combat at that time tended to be very unreliable, but both sides inflating their kills and victories.
